S-toolbox is part of the “kid-s furniture & accessories” children's series and is a children's furniture-accessory with a variety of applications and uses. Its name is based on the play on words stool and toolbox, as the child can use it both to sit and to put his toys inside to move them around or to store them. S-toolbox aims to encourage the child's autonomy and give the child the maximum possible freedom to interact with it in their own unique way within a clear and safe framework, as it is in line with the principles of the RIE and Montessori pedagogical philosophy. It can also be combined with the S-table children's table which is also part of the “kid-s furniture & accessories” children's series. As a stool, unlike a chair with a backrest, it allows the child to sit on whichever side they want, while providing them with maximum freedom of movement while sitting. At the same time, thanks to its dimensions, S-toolbox allows the child to choose how they wants to sit, allowing them to sit even with one leg on one side and the other on the other or even at the corner. It can also be used as a step stool for the child to reach something that is out of their reach, as a toy, or as a storage box. It is available in four main sizes (No15, No20, No25, No30) depending on the child's age to match their body dimensions and physical strength. Made of birch plywood with a low weight (just 720 grams for No15) the child can easily move it wherever they want and need it. No15 has a rectangular shape as it is for toddlers (12-24 months) so that the they can sit even with one leg on one side and the other on the other. No20, No25, No30 have a square base for increased stability as the height of the stool and the child is higher. In addition, the rounded corners and edges protect against minor accidents. Finally, S-toolbox is stackable thanks to its special notches, creating a storage unit or it can be inserted into a larger base and function as a “drawer” in an organization and storage station (No15 stacks only by itself, while No20, No25 and No30 stack all together). This way, even if the child grows up and stops using it, S-toolbox remains functional and useful. Of course, S-toolbox can also be used by adults as an organization and storage system or even as a stool or step stool thanks to its particularly durable and sturdy construction.
